Weiss MAN301R network player and CD ripper

The new Weiss MAN301R drags you into the world of digital audio in an instant. Stream or listen to anything including the good old silver disc.

Thanks to Roon compatibility as well as the presence of a built-in CD player, the new Weiss MAN301R can take you in any direction. The “R” version is a further development of its MAN301 predecessor. Fear not: if you have this ‘old’ device, upgrading is possible. Once you have the ‘R’, you will have numerous possibilities. The Roon-based music streamer and library manager supports a maximum quality of 24 bit /192 kHz. Naturally, well-known music streaming services such as Tidal, Qobux and KKBox are supported. Furthermore, there is a new web interface that allows you to quickly switch between available modes: Roon Server, pre-amp, CD ripping. Output level, a filter switch and a polarity inverter are also available here.

Many internal changes

Internally, compared to the R-less version, there have been quite a few changes in the Weiss MAN301R. For example, you will find a completely new ITX system board in it, with completely newly written drivers for it. Furthermore, there is a new Firewire interface and the internal SSD contains the Roon firmware. Meanwhile, a new firmware version is already available that adds UpnP and Apple Airplay as optional sources to the preamp mode.
