If you miss the original MTV days, you might find some solace in the music videos that Spotify now offers to premium subscribers in more and more countries. To watch, simply tap the video button and enjoy. However, the music streamer’s feature is still in a testing phase, meaning that the selection is currently quite limited. So, patience is required for a full-fledged “MTV experience” — and let’s hope the wait isn’t as long as it has been for Spotify’s still-unreleased HiFi option.
There are also other music streaming platforms, such as Tidal, that have been offering music videos for a while now, with a much larger catalog. The additional advantage with services like Tidal is that you can listen to either lossless streams or enjoy the music videos, and that at a more competitive price compared to Spotify’s lossy audio streams.
