Reports indicate that Tidal is preparing for another major round of layoffs to enhance the company’s efficiency.
According to information available on this page, Tidal intends to conduct a substantial layoff, potentially affecting 100 employees. Product management and product marketing departments are expected to be entirely eliminated, shifting the focus to engineering and design. This would result in a remaining team of approximately 300 employees.
Is this a bad sign? One might question whether a staff of 300 is excessive for a music streaming service. We won’t lose sleep over it, especially considering that Tidal remains the most affordable streamer offering the highest available music quality. What more could one want?
