The Reiki Audio SuperSwitch X is designed to keep potential interference in streaming signals to an absolute minimum.
One thing that immediately stands out about the Reiki Audio SuperSwitch X is that it only features two Ethernet ports. One connects to, for example, your router, while the other links to a downstream streamer. Strictly speaking, that means it functions less like a traditional switch and more like a highly specialized signal pass-through device.
The thick multi-layer enclosure is intended to keep unwanted interference at bay. The top section features a ceramic coating layer, followed by a 10 mm aluminum layer. Beneath that sits an internal copper layer and, underneath again, a 3M EMI absorber. According to the manufacturer, it is still a genuine Gigabit switch, so we may assume actual switching hardware is indeed present under the hood. This is further supported by the availability of an optional three-port version.
Also available separately is the matching Audio Pro X PSU power supply, designed to provide stable and ultra-clean power delivery.
The Reiki Audio SuperSwitch X is certainly not inexpensive: the basic two-port model including the power supply costs €5,998. According to the manufacturer, however, this investment rewards the listener with a calmer sound, clearer detail and a more stable spatial presentation.
