I noticed over on ASR that a lot of people are critical of there only being one XLR input on this preamp. I wonder if Hypex could design an accessory board with an additional XLR and one or two RCA inputs? Or maybe they could design their future phono stage to be dual purpose?
Are you asking us this? Because we are not Hypex…
I was just wondering what other options beyond the DAC and future phono stage they might release.
Did you do any listening tests with this pre-amp?
I own the pre- and power (Nilai, stereo power amp). It is our reference for this price-class. It is that good…
I will try the dac and – when released – the phono stage. I don’t know if there will be a board for additional analog inputs. I don’t think so to be honest.
I have been trying to decide between the Hypex or Ladder Bach to pair with my Nilai amp. I like the dual outputs on the Hypex as I could send the second output to my subwoofer if that is possible.
I don’t know the Bach pre-amp, so I cannot help you decide.
When you compare the Hypex pre-amp to the Bryston you used to have at Alpha Audio (was it BP26??)
It was the XP-12. 🙂
Hypex are taking pre-orders for a digital input/network add-on board for their pre-amp. At €770.00 it isn’t cheap: https://www.diyclassd.com/detail/018f9a1a4bb1773f98d6677a0edcfa14
If the quality is good, it can be a steal. We will definately review it.
Zondag even mee testen?
Gaan we proberen!
