Yes! The time has come! By POPULAR demand, we’re hosting another livestream. We took a break for the past two years because it’s simply a lot of work and it was no longer financially feasible. To give this unique concept another chance, we’re setting up a livestream in our studio at the Nieuwplaatz in Leiden. We’ll take a moment to recap recent events, briefly present the future of Alpha Audio, and feature four or five great streamers for you to listen to. In short: plenty of reasons to tune in!
Some viewers and readers may already be familiar with Nieuwplaatz in Leiden from other reviews. One of those reviews featured the Tannoy Gold 50—a pair of wonderful, large, very boxy speakers with a coaxial driver. Neutral? Not really… but it sure sounds good. And it plays with incredible ease, fluidity, and rhythm.
Affordable
What we want to showcase in this livestream are a few affordable streamers. Think of the Bluesound Node Nano, Bluesound Node, Volumio Primo V3, and a little Fosi streamer for under 300 euros. In short: very affordable. But what do you get for that money? Is it worth going from 300 to around 800 euros? Or would you be better off spending that 500 euros on other things?
We’ll walk you through all the streamers and let you hear how they sound, but we’ll also take a quick look at the software and the company behind them, because that’s just as important.
Sunday, November 1
The livestream starts at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 1 (CET). Of course, it’ll be on our own YouTube channel. We’ll share the link to the stream well before we go live.
We hope to see you online again on Sunday, November 1, for the livestream!
