Burson Audio presents Funk headphone amplifier

The new Burson Audio Funk is actually not only a headphone amplifier, because the device also effortlessly drives (efficiënt) speakers.

If you are looking for a compact yet versatile amplifier, the new Burson Audio Funk is the right choice. In this compact box you will find a 2 x 3 Watt headphone amplifier and a 2 x 45 Watt power amplifier. The Funk is specially designed for ‘near field listening’, which means: listening through for example a desktop speaker in a small space.

A nice detail is that the amplifier circuitry is built completely discreetly in class AB (and not class D as you might expect after taking the small enclosure into consideration). Also the headphone amplifier concerns a discrete specimen, this time set up as class A. If desired, you can set up the Burson Audio Funk vertically, which immediately helps with the dissipation of the heat.

Standard or Deluxe

The Burson Audio Funk is available in a ‘basic’ version with NE5532s on board, for that variant you have to pay $544 US dollars. There is also the Deluxe version at €744. Here, instead of NE5532’s V6 Vivid Dual opamps are used. Something for the true purists.

Whichever version you choose, this Funk is widely applicable to provide a tune anywhere in the house.
