Huawei FreeBuds 5i

Looking for not too expensive (although the price is not yet known) in-ears with hi-res capabilities? Then Huawei has the FreeBuds 5i for you.

Well, almost because the Huawei FreeBuds 5i are available from January 16, directly through Huawei. To which we add the ever-so-cautious note that these are caps from a Chinese manufacturer, and one not entirely uncontroversial when it comes to privacy. Be cautious with installing any associated apps or other software, we’d say. In any case, what makes the FreeBuds 5i interesting – for some of the potential customers – is that Sony’s LDAC codec over Bluetooth is supported. This allows a maximum quality of 24 bit / 96 kHz wirelessly. Whereby it goes without saying that the “sending” side must also support LDAC. Furthermore, ANC is present. This set of features makes it an interesting budget option. Because although the price is not yet officially known, Huawei says it is under €100.
