The new Shure Aonic 50 Gen 2 wireless headphones feature hybrid ANC and spatial sound.
At the already finished IFA 2023, Shure presented the new Aonic 50 Gen 2 wireless headphones. Compared to its predecessor, numerous improvements and innovations have been implemented. What will stand out for sure, at least during use, is that the battery lasts 50% longer. You can now listen for 45 hours on a full charge. Moreover, the quick-charge feature, also present, ensures that after just 15 minutes of charging you’ll have 5 hours worth of playing time
Hybrid ANC and spatial sound
The most important thing about headphones, of course, is their audio capabilities. In that regard, hybrid ANC is provided, which should ensure even better suppression of ambient noise. The centerpiece of the Shure Aonic 50 Gen 2 is the patented algorithm that creates spatial sound. In the process, according to the manufacturer, nothing is sacrificed in terms of sound quality. You can choose from three modes: music, movie and podcast. Furthermore, there is a user adjustable equalizer available. Should you ever want to communicate hands-free, the headphones feature six beamforming microphones for that purpose.
Codecs
On the wireless side, Bluetooth forms the basis, supporting aptX Adaptive, LDAC, AAC and the standard SBC as codecs. Should you ever want to listen via cable, you can do so via the included audio cable. Also included are a USB-C audio/charging cable and a carrying case
The Shure Aonic 50 Gen 2 headphones are available starting this month, in the color black for a price of €399.
