Ortofon has released a number of new vinyl accessories, all practical and with a pleasant price tag.
For playing records, the true vinyl enthusiast always has a number of accessories at hand. Consider, for example, the two new Ortofon cartridge adjustment tools. First, there is the “regular” (updated) version and a premium variant. The latter is 75% larger and features contrasting colors for better readability. In essence, these are ‘cards’ with a grid pattern and two zero points. With these, you achieve adjustment according to the Bearwald alignment method for optimal tracking and correct playback. The regular alignment tool has a price tag of €5.90 and the Premium version costs €9.90.
Stabilizers
Then there are the Ortofon record stabilizers. Available in an updated standard and heavy-duty version. In terms of instructions, you’re quickly done: just put the thing on the record and play as usual. According to the manufacturer, you will experience an immediate audible difference. You can choose from a matte silver or matte black finish. The standard stabilizer costs €59 and the heavy version €69.
