Not everyone is satisfied with a turntable of a few hundred Euros or even less. No, the audiophile goes the extra mile. For him or her the Genuin Audio Drive is a perfect match. The German manufacturer designed this ultimate turntable in collaboration with Helmut Thiele. By the way, the original Audio Drive appeared back in 2016, but now there is the 2024 version. As its drive system a trio of synchronous motors is used. Via three separate belts, these drive an aluminum turntable. Here you can choose from the well-known speeds 33 1/3 and 45 rpm. Five different materials are used in the player’s chassis: plywood, aluminum, acrylic and a special thermoplastic called POM. This mix should guarantee optimal damping of unwanted vibrations.
Phono preamplifier
Practical and, for this price range, quite special is the built-in phono preamplifier that can handle both MM and MC elements. Â Three correction curves are selectable: RIAA, Decca and Columbia. You can configure numerous other things via banks of dip switches.
