Within Apple TV, U.S. viewers can watch select films from companies other than Apple – temporarily for now.
If you use Apple TV , you have undoubtedly noticed that only Apple’s own productions can be found there. Although those are often of high quality, you just have to be interested in what is on offer. Moreover, compared to other streamers, the selection is relatively meager. This has everything to do with the fact that many of those other video streaming services have catalogs from multiple film companies on offer. This creates a somewhat broader offer with – if things go well – something for everyone. In the U.S., Apple now seems to have changed tack, since – for now 53 – titles from other companies are becoming available on Apple TV. For example, Spider Man, Mad Max Fury Road and Star Trek. This is a “temporary” offer. Moreover, for now, only in the U.S. It is unknown what will happen in the rest of the world.
