During the approaching Munich High End, the WiiM Ultra will be launched on May 9. At least, that’s what we read in a “tease” on WiiM’s forum. It’s a streamer and preamplifier in one. According to the manufacturer, the device can handle a range of digital and analog sources, including TVs, turntables, AV receivers, subwoofers, smart speakers, headphones, Bluetooth headsets and more. This allows the Ultra to take on the role as the central hub of your audio and audiovisual system.
The WiiM Ultra features an aluminum housing that includes a 3.5-inch touch screen. Furthermore, you will find a DAC inside. At the time of writing, the price is still unknown. So we’ll have to wait for that and further details until the aforementioned High End.
