The Marantz Model 10 is a freshly announced integrated amplifier and the inaugural model of the equally new Series 10.

Soon, the Marantz Model 10 integrated amplifier will hit the shelves. According to the manufacturer, it has been developed from the ground up. Its internal circuitry is constructed in a Dual-Mono setup, enclosed within a 16-millimeter thick, copper-plated triple-layered casing. Both the pre-amplifier and power amplifier circuits are separately powered and isolated by the housing’s design. Marantz emphasized minimizing distortion during the design process. That’s reflected in its specifications: distortion remains as low as 0.05% at full output. If desired, the Model 10 can also be used solely as a pre-amplifier or a power amplifier. In the latter case, an external pre-amplifier is needed, of course.

VU-meter, for lovers of classic looks

For those who appreciate them, the Model 10 includes a display that can show an analog VU meter. Notably, it has a purely analog setup, equipped with five line inputs (two of which are balanced) and a phono input (both MM and MC compatible). The power amplifier section delivers a maximum output of 2 x 250 Watts into 8 Ohms or 500 Watts into 4 Ohms. In case you’d like to go all out, the amp can be used in a Bi-Amping setup with another Model 10. A unique feature is the grille on the top. It facilitates air circulation and offers a discreet view of the internals.

Later this year, Marantz will also release the matching SACD 10 SACD player and a streamer named Link 10n, all part of the Series 10. The price for the Model 10 is set at €14,500, with color options of Champagne and black.
