The Victrola Automatic is, as its name suggests, a fully automatic turntable with Bluetooth capabilities.
Not everyone is looking for a complete high-end vinyl revival. Sometimes, you just want a capable turntable that can bring your newly rediscovered vinyl collection from your youth back to life. The new Victrola Automatic looks like a perfect fit for this need. It’s a fully automatic belt-driven turntable, meaning the needle is automatically placed on the record and returns to the starting position when the record ends. A handy feature is the built-in phono preamp, allowing you to connect the turntable to any line input on a modern hi-fi system. The phono preamp is also switchable, so you can use your own if you prefer.
Bluetooth
For the modern vinyl listener, Bluetooth is included, allowing you to stream your records to a wireless speaker or headphones. A slight downside is that it only supports the basic SBC codec, which is far from hi-fi quality. But if you’re serious about audio quality, a wired connection is always the better choice. The Victrola Automatic comes with an Audio Technica AT-3600L MM cartridge, so you can start listening right out of the box. Priced at $199, it’s quite affordable. Although the turntable, which will be available starting in October, isn’t yet listed on the manufacturer’s website, we did find a promo video on their Facebook page.
