The Danish manufacturer claims their new Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H100 is “the best headphones they have ever made.” That certainly sets high expectations.
While we can’t definitively say from just the specs if they are indeed “their best,” the features of the Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H100 headphones are impressive. According to the manufacturer, every aspect has been improved over its predecessor, the H95. The foundation of the H100 is its 40mm custom-made titanium drivers. Additionally, the ANC performance has reportedly doubled compared to the H95. A new feature, B&O’s EarSense technology, adjusts the sound in real-time to the user’s hearing. With support for hi-res audio up to 24 bit / 96 kHz, the sound quality promises to be exceptional. The H100 also supports Dolby Atmos, including head tracking for an immersive audio experience. All parts of the H100 are replaceable, including batteries and circuit boards, enhancing its sustainability and longevity.
The Bang & Olufsen Beoplay H100 offers up to 34 hours of playtime on a fully charged battery with ANC activated, and a quick five-minute charge provides five hours of playback. The price tag is steep at $1549, but such premium pricing is expected from this Danish brand. There are three colors to choose from.
