The new Orange Amplifiers O Turntable has, according to the British manufacturer, audiophile ambitions — but thankfully, the price remains very reasonable!
Orange Amplifiers has been a staple in professional audio innovation for over 55 years. The British company now presents its new O Turntable. “This UK-built, audiophile-grade turntable has been precision engineered for effortless, high-quality vinyl enjoyment and is aimed at serious vinyl enthusiasts and music lovers,” says Orange. The sleek, timeless design is finished in glossy white, and the turntable surface proudly bears the Orange Voice Of The World crest.
A bit of history
This model also pays tribute to the brand’s storied past: “Since the 1960s, Orange has shaped the music world with groundbreaking innovations. In 1968, Cliff Cooper, Founder and CEO of Orange Amplifiers, established the legendary Orange Studios. Big names such as Stevie Wonder, the Bee Gees, Tom Jones, Fleetwood Mac, and many others recorded there. Orange Management, Orange Records, and even the Orange DJConsoles with dual decks followed later.”
Specifications
Below are the main features of the O Turntable, as described by the manufacturer:
- Belt-driven audiophile-grade turntable
- 24V ultra-quiet synchronous motor with a custom-designed PCB and aluminium pulley to minimise vibrations and ensure stable platter rotation — essential for accurate groove tracking
- 23 mm high-mass phenolic platter with flywheel effect, delivering smooth rotation and consistent speed — a feature usually found in high-end models
- Integrated MM phono preamplifier with built-in moving magnet stage and matching cartridge featuring a replaceable carbon stylus — for clear, dynamic sound without the need for extra components
- Auto-balanced tonearm with ultra-low-friction bearings, preset bias, and a plug-in counterweight for true plug-and-play setup — no alignment tools required
- Sleek white glossy plinth and signature styling: minimalist design with a power switch underneath. The familiar Orange logo features on the plinth, tonearm, and cartridge. Comes with an exclusive “Voice of the World” slipmat and a transparent dust cover.
According to the company, the O Turntable has been designed for easy connection and use and pairs perfectly with the Orange Pyramid System or any existing hi-fi system — “ideal for both newcomers and seasoned audiophiles.”

The O Turntable has a suggested retail price of £499 (incl. VAT) / €599 / $699 and is available worldwide directly via Orange’s website (from late July in the US).
