Not everyone has the budget — or the inclination — to spend big on brand-new, often pricey, high-end audio equipment. But the second-hand market can be a risky one, where a bad purchase is always a possibility. That’s where the new Reference Sounds Approved Occasions webpage comes in — a reliable way to get your hands on used audio gear! It features a rotating selection of pre-owned and ex-demo products from both Reference Sounds and its dealers.
According to the importer: “At our beautiful Experience Center, we showcase a current selection of our products. But since development never stands still, some models are occasionally replaced by new ones. These ex-demo items — often in excellent condition — will now be offered on our Reference Sounds Approved Occasions page. And we’re not just doing this for our own stock, but also for Reference Sounds products previously supplied to our official brand dealers. Simply because we are — and remain — proud of our brands and want to offer them with the same care and service as we do new products!”

How does it work?
All Reference Sounds Approved Occasions were originally imported and supplied by Reference Sounds. The service history is known, and all items are checked for completeness and proper functioning. “That’s why we confidently offer a one-year Reference Sounds warranty on all Approved Occasions, or the remaining factory warranty where applicable. Purchases and deliveries of these products are handled through our dealers,” the importer states.

Reference Sounds intends to regularly promote its Approved Occasions via social media, trade shows, and the audio press. All purchases are made through their dealer network. Items marked “dealer occasion” on the webpage are offered directly via the listed dealer. In all cases, the products shown come with a one-year Reference Sounds warranty.

The selection isn’t limited to our own ex-demo stock either. Certified used models from our dealers are also eligible for the Reference Sounds Approved Occasions page — whether they’re ex-demo units from the shop floor or trade-ins — as long as they were originally supplied by Reference Sounds. In consultation with the dealer, we inspect the condition and performance, carry out servicing if needed, and make the product complete. Then it gets listed on our occasion page as a ‘dealer occasion.’
