Teufel introduces the MOTIV XL, a new hi-fi streaming speaker that, thanks to its built-in battery, is not bound to a fixed location. Roon Ready
The MOTIV® XL supports a wide array of streaming services and wireless protocols, including Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, and Bluetooth. It is also the first wireless speaker from Teufel to be certified as “Roon Ready,” meaning it can be seamlessly integrated into existing Roon environments. Roon is a popular music management solution that merges digitized vinyl and CD collections with streaming services into a single user interface, allowing users to easily play all their favorite tracks through Roon Ready endpoints like the MOTIV XL.

“The MOTIV® XL gives music lovers the ability to enjoy true hi-fi audio at the press of a button,” says Teufel. Its compact housing allows placement almost anywhere in the home. Inside the slightly over half-meter-wide front panel is a 3-channel system consisting of two midrange drivers, two tweeters, and a robust 200 mm long-throw Kevlar wok woofer for deep bass. The MOTIV® XL also features a digital-to-analog converter with up to 24-bit/96 kHz resolution and Class D amplifiers with a total RMS output of 210 watts. Teufel’s proprietary Dynamore® technology promises “a stunning stereo soundstage.”

According to the German manufacturer, the MOTIV XL “makes a statement both on a living room sideboard and a kitchen counter.” Thanks to its built-in replaceable battery and integrated carry handles, the speaker is highly portable.
