The annual Dutch Audio Event 2025 is slowly coming into view. But: you won’t have to wait that long to visit a show!
We begin with the well-known Dutch Audio Event 2025, which will once again take place at the familiar NH Koningshof in the Dutch town of Veldhoven, on October 4 and 5. Expect a wide range of hi-fi and high-end equipment, as well as lectures, live performances, and more.
Dutch importer D&D Audio already sent us – as participant – an enthusiastic email. Below, in green, you can read — in their own unfiltered words — what you can expect from them in room 63.
No Dutch Audio Event without D&D Audio — even though none of those D’s stand for Dutch. Once again, D&D Audio will be present at their trusted location in room 63. Traditionally one of the highlights of the show in this meticulously arranged listening room, you can look forward to two notable premieres on October 4 and 5.
Vitus Audio
Over the past year, D&D’s portfolio has been expanded with a remarkable addition. Alongside established names such as Astell & Kern, Clearaudio, Crystal Cable, Devialet, Siltech, SME, and YG Acoustics, the team proudly welcomes a new gem: Vitus Audio from Denmark. This addition represents a major step forward in the pursuit of absolute sonic perfection. Vitus Audio is renowned worldwide for its uncompromising build quality, refined sound character, and unique aesthetics. For lovers of high-end audio, this means D&D is now better equipped than ever to put together a perfectly matched system that excels both technically and musically.
The introduction of Vitus Audio at D&D will be celebrated at the Dutch Audio Event, where visitors will have the unique opportunity to experience a sublime combination of Vitus Audio and YG Acoustics. Carmel 3
At the centre of the presentation are the Carmel 3 loudspeakers from YG Acoustics, shown in a stunning bronze finish that not only looks beautiful but also enhances the listening experience. These speakers will be driven by the Vitus Audio SIA integrated amplifier and the SD 025 MK II digital player/DAC, a combination promising an unrivalled listening experience.
Crystal Cable included
For both seasoned audiophiles and curious enthusiasts, this collaboration is an ideal opportunity to experience the very best the high-end audio world has to offer. Naturally, the setup will be treated to premium cabling from Crystal Cable. Known for pairing excellently with demanding systems, these cables once again represent the best of what the Netherlands has to offer in cable design.

SME Model 35
Speaking of turntables, vinyl enthusiasts are in for a treat this year. SME is presenting the long-awaited successor to the iconic Model 30: the SME Model 35. This new reference turntable immediately stands out with its streamlined three-pillar design and improved decoupled feet, offering a leap forward both acoustically and visually. The sixty suspension rings that previously decorated the subchassis have been replaced by a new internal system, resulting in more refined isolation with better performance both vertically and horizontally. Another bonus? The Model 35 is much easier to keep clean.
Further improvements
Enhancements don’t stop there. The turntable features an optimised subchassis, a hydraulic damping system around the spindle and bearing, and a top-tier electronic speed control. Last mentioned part is based on technology from the SME Model 60 and uses a powerful AC motor with a separate transformer, ensuring extremely stable and precise rotation.
The Model 35 comes standard with the new Series VI tonearm, an evolution of SME’s legendary Series V. This arm combines unmatched rigidity with minimal mass and uses high-grade bearings and damping for highly accurate groove tracking. The Series VI is perfectly matched to the Model 35, offering absolute neutrality and control. CNC-milled from a dense, non-metallic polymer chosen for its acoustic inertness, the design is built to tight tolerances and strict quality control standards.
