The new WiiM Amp Ultra is an all-in-one streaming amplifier, equipped with room correction and multiroom capabilities.
If you mainly listen to streaming music (and why not), the WiiM Amp Ultra has you covered in one go. Simply connect a pair of speakers and start listening! And all that at a very attractive price point. You’ll have direct access to popular streaming services such as Tidal, Qobuz, Deezer, Amazon Music, or Spotify. Google Cast, Alexa Cast, and Spotify Connect are also supported, with Roon certification said to be on the way.
The unit is pleasingly compact, with a footprint of just 20 x 20 cm. Its Class D amplifier delivers up to 200 watts into 4 ohms (100 watts into 8 ohms), more than enough for the vast majority of home listening scenarios. At its heart sits the ESS ES9039Q2M Sabre DAC, supported by six OPA1612 op-amps.
Connections and more
The WiiM Amp Ultra is housed in a sleek aluminium unibody and features a 3.5-inch touchscreen for simple and intuitive operation. Connectivity options are plentiful, including HDMI ARC, analog and digital inputs, and a sub-out. Networking is possible via Ethernet or Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth is available for wireless streaming from, for example, your smartphone. Another highlight is the RoomFit room calibration technology. And of course, the multiroom functionality is not to be overlooked.
Finally, there’s the very appealing price: you can take the WiiM Amp Ultra home for just €599!
