Eversolo DAC-Z10 and Headphone Amplifier

The Eversolo DAC-Z10 is a high-end DAC with a built-in headphone amplifier, designed around the company’s proprietary Fully Isolated Architecture (FIA).

A DAC with an integrated headphone amplifier is always a convenient option — it allows users to run the device standalone, without needing an external (integrated) amplifier. That’s exactly what the new Eversolo DAC-Z10 offers. The company’s FIA technology completely separates the analog and digital circuits, reducing noise and interference. To achieve this, Eversolo has implemented three independent power supplies — one each for the left and right channels, and a third for system control. For digital-to-analog conversion, the DAC-Z10 uses dual AK4191 and AK4499 DAC chips, one pair per channel.

R2R Volume Control

Volume adjustment is handled by a fully analog R2R resistor ladder, ensuring high precision and minimal distortion. The unit also includes a fully balanced preamplifier with both XLR and RCA inputs, allowing it to be connected directly to a power amplifier or active speakers. Eversolo’s Precision Core Clock System, based on a temperature-controlled OCXO oscillator, works together with PLL technology and an FPGA-based clock reconstruction chip to minimize jitter — reportedly down to the femtosecond range.

Connectivity and Features

The DAC-Z10 offers a generous array of inputs: USB, coaxial, optical, IIS, AES/EBU, and HDMI ARC. It supports PCM up to 768 kHz / 32-bit and native DSD up to DSD512 via USB. The built-in headphone amplifier delivers up to 1 watt of output power and automatically detects the impedance of connected headphones.

Control is made simple through an 8.8-inch touchscreen, while the Eversolo Control app offers additional functionality via smartphone or tablet.

The Eversolo DAC-Z10 will be available very soon at a retail price of €1,980.
