Fresh firmware for the Grimm MU1 and MU2

New firmware is now available for the Grimm MU1 and MU2, primarily a bug-fix release following last month’s major update.

Last month’s update for the Grimm MU1 and MU2 already introduced a substantial number of changes. ‘Our software team anticipated that such an extensive revision would inevitably introduce some errors, and therefore remained on standby to resolve all reported issues immediately. While doing so, they also managed to extract even more performance from the MU1 code,’ the manufacturer explains. ‘That’s why we are proud to now present an update that not only smooths out various rough edges, but also delivers a noticeable improvement in sound quality for MU1 users.’

The changelogs, updated manuals and FAQs have been revised accordingly and are available on the product pages. One particular change, according to Grimm, deserves the special attention of MU1 and MU2 owners: ‘Since version 24H2, Windows 11 no longer allows ‘guest’ logins for devices on the local network. To comply with these new security requirements, the internal drive of the MU1 and MU2 now requires login credentials when accessed over the network. Please refer to the blog and manuals for more details.

Tip from the manufacturer: ‘As always: be patient while your device installs the update — and afterwards enjoy an even more stable streamer.
