It’s official: the first Revox audio cassettes of the 21st century have arrived. They are now available under the name Grandmaster Audio Cassette.
Some time ago, we reported that Revox was planning to start producing audio cassettes in Germany. The first results of that initiative are now on the market: the Revox Grandmaster Audio Cassettes. The initial series is Type I (Ferro), available in both C60 and C90 versions — something for everyone. Eventually, Revox also intends to produce Chrome and other tape types again, which is good news for anyone who wants to bring their old hi-fi cassette deck down from the attic.
For now, you’ll have to make do with the Type I tapes, priced as follows:
