A 30th anniversary is a milestone worth celebrating, and the Slovak manufacturer Canor marks the occasion with a special jubilee model: the TP101 A30.

Partly crafted from light-colored wood, the Canor TP101 A30 integrated amplifier ticks all the boxes of a true anniversary edition. It not only looks distinctive, but also harks back to the company’s very first production model, the TP101 from 1995. While its appearance clearly references that original design, the technology inside is entirely up to date. The amplifier is built as an ultralinear push-pull design operating in Class AB. Tube complement consists of four EL34 output tubes and four ECC81 small-signal tubes. For the circuit boards, Canor employs its proprietary CMT technology, in which the signal paths are milled out rather than etched. According to the manufacturer, this results in an exceptionally pure sound.

The output stage delivers a maximum power of 2 x 40 watts RMS, into both 4- and 8-ohm loads. As mentioned, the enclosure—combining stainless steel with wood—gives the amplifier a striking visual presence. Five line-level RCA inputs are provided. The Canor TP101 A30 carries a retail price of €9,949. In addition to the version with light-colored wood, a variant finished with darker wood is also available.
