A constantly changing artwork on the wall? Thanks to modern technology—and products like the new LG Gallery TV—that’s now possible.
LG also offers a 4K TV specifically designed for displaying art: the Gallery TV. But don’t worry—this model isn’t intended solely for galleries and museums. You can just as easily mount it on the wall at home, and if you wish, it also functions perfectly well as a regular television. What makes this TV particularly suitable for presenting artwork is not only its anti-reflective screen, but also an image engine that adapts the picture to changing lighting conditions. When installed in, for example, a museum, incoming daylight and shifting light throughout the day can pose challenges for screen-based exhibitions—something the LG Gallery TV handles with ease.
This type of television has clearly found its market. Other manufacturers preceded LG in this segment, and it’s not just museums and galleries that are interested. Home users, too, are increasingly drawn to the idea of enhancing their interior with rotating works of art displayed on such screens. In that context, LG’s Gallery+ service is a welcome addition, offering a rotating collection of some 4,500 artworks.
