The XAVIAN Natura series is expanding with a new addition: the distinctive Grande Unica floorstanding loudspeaker.
First, let’s look at where the Unica name comes from. Manufacturer XAVIAN explains: “Our Unica loudspeakers owe their name to the truly unique amount of handcrafting and high-quality construction elements that go into them.” The company continues: “The Grande Unica fully follows in their footsteps, but in a naturally enlarged floorstanding form. The Grande Unica combines the experience gained from fine-tuning the Unica and the earlier Madre Perla models with other popular names from the Natura series.”
Natural appearance
The solid-oak Grande Unica stands out with its distinctly natural look. Its matte lacquer with a hint of natural wax subtly highlights the wood grain and makes every detail visible. “The cabinets are manufactured in our workshops in Hostivice from 23 mm thick solid oak. Its rounded edges and corners, as well as the beautifully organic bass reflex port, can only be achieved through careful handcrafting. We are proud that, in this price range, we can incorporate our craftsmanship and experience into these loudspeakers without compromise,” says the manufacturer.
Compared to its smaller sister, the Unica, the Grande Unica plays, according to XAVIAN, “with greater fullness, detail, and grandeur. Its high sensitivity allows the euphoria, liveliness, and full energy of the music to be expressed freely. The depth of the bass is simply enviable.”
The Grande Unica is designed for normal living spaces and everyday listening. It fits easily into almost any room and performs best when placed at a normal distance from the rear wall (10–20 cm), without the need for complicated setup or positioning, according to the manufacturer.
