The Danish brand Jamo is making a comeback after a long period of silence, now under new Chinese ownership that sees strong potential in the name.
Jamo was once closely associated with the world of hi-fi, discos and more. Its speakers could be found just about everywhere. Over time, however, things gradually went quiet around the Danish manufacturer. In 2024, Jamo was acquired by two Chinese companies, Cinemaster and Rayeligh Lab. After that, little was heard from the once well-known speaker brand—until now.
The new owners have stated that they see real value in what they consider a legendary brand. They plan to introduce an entirely new range of speakers aimed at both entry-level users and high-end enthusiasts. The lineup is expected to be unveiled at the upcoming High End Vienna in June. Engineering and design are being handled by British companies, with a Danish firm also involved.
All in all, this could turn into a very interesting Euro-Chinese collaboration.
