Why should hi-fi always sit on a shelf or in a rack? Mounting it on the wall is a perfectly valid option too, as TRETTITRE demonstrates.
It certainly looks striking: a turntable, CD player and cassette deck mounted vertically on the wall. Add your smartphone for modern media playback and you’re good to go. The TRETTITRE TTT-LP3, TTT-DP3 and TTT-CP3 offer exactly that. In fact, it’s all very much plug-and-play. The turntable features a built-in phono preamp, while the cassette deck includes noise reduction—always a welcome addition.
Visually, the system already stands out, but things get even more interesting when you dim the lights in the evening. The turntable then doubles as a kind of ambient light. This likely works best with non-black, translucent vinyl. All devices in the series feature physical buttons—no virtual touch controls on a screen, but the real thing.
The system is modular, allowing you to mount exactly what you want on your wall. The first units are expected to start shipping from May 15 this year. In the meantime, a Kickstarter campaign is also underway.
