Clearaudio has introduced the Groove Archive Box and anti-static inner liners for record sleeves—clearly aimed at vinyl enthusiasts.
Back in the day, many living room cabinets and audio furniture units featured dedicated compartments for vinyl records. Those days are mostly gone, meaning collectors now need alternative ways to store their LP collections. One option is the new Clearaudio Groove Archive Box. Each box can hold up to 50 LPs and is designed to be either stacked or mounted on a wall.
The boxes are handmade and constructed from wood sourced from the Bavarian Forest. In addition, the manufacturer has also released anti-static inner sleeves—you know, the flexible sleeves used to protect a record before sliding it into the actual album cover. The smooth texture of these liners is intended to reduce friction when inserting or removing records, hopefully helping to prevent scratches. They are sold in packs of 50.
The Groove Archive Box is priced at €75, while a set of 50 inner sleeves costs €39.
