Chinese manufacturer Arylic has introduced the LA50, an affordable streaming amplifier packed with features. On the streaming side, support is provided for popular music services including Qobuz Connect, TIDAL Connect and Spotify Connect. In addition to Google Cast, the LA50 also supports AirPlay 2, opening the door to convenient multiroom audio setups.
The integrated power amplifier delivers up to 2 x 50 watts and, according to the manufacturer, is capable of driving the majority of loudspeakers without difficulty.
Thanks to a wide range of analogue and digital inputs, connecting external equipment is straightforward. The LA50 is also well suited for TV integration, featuring an HDMI ARC input among its connectivity options.
External storage devices and USB flash drives can be connected via USB. Locally stored audio files in formats including FLAC, APE and AAC can then be played back directly. A dedicated subwoofer output is also included, featuring a crossover frequency of 250 Hz.
Connectivity and Control
For network connectivity, users can choose between Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet (10/100 Mbps). Bluetooth support is also included for direct streaming from smartphones and other compatible devices.
A smartphone can be used to control the LA50, but those who prefer voice control can take advantage of support for both Google Assistant and Siri.
The Arylic LA50 is available immediately at a retail price of $278.
