Dutch Poels Audio has a new listening room, and visitors will have the opportunity to experience the ATC EL 50 in it!
Poels Audio – based in the Dutch city of Haarlem – organizes a special presentation around the ATC EL 50 on Saturday, June 13. The event will take place in Poels Audio’s new listening facility in Ospel and will showcase the ATC EL 50 Anniversary, ATC’s flagship loudspeaker. The EL 50 Anniversary is equipped with three newly designed Class A/B amplifiers, each featuring its own dedicated power supply circuit and three separate mains transformers.
According to Poels Audio, the cabinet of the ATC EL 50 Anniversary employs a laminated multi-layer construction designed to improve both rigidity and damping. A curved front baffle and rounded edges have been engineered to reduce diffraction and maintain a consistent response both on and off axis. The bass driver is mounted within an aluminium ring attached to the front panel for additional stiffness.
The standard finish includes carefully selected European walnut veneer with ebony inlays, a high-gloss lacquer finish, and Nappa leather detailing around the midrange driver and tweeter.
Throughout the day, Ulmt van der Linden will be present on behalf of ATC to provide demonstrations, answer questions and offer further insight into the design and technology behind the loudspeaker.
