Ruark R710 All-in-One System

There is something undeniably appealing about all-in-one systems, and Ruark unveiled its brand-new R710 at High End Vienna, which opened its doors yesterday.

Combining the classic appearance of a time when tabletop radios occupied a central place in the living room with modern technology and a host of contemporary features, the newly introduced Ruark R710 aims to offer the best of both worlds. One of its highlights is the built-in CD player, included in response to what the manufacturer describes as strong customer demand.

A traditional radio tuner is notably absent—there is no FM or DAB support—but internet radio more than compensates for that omission. Popular streaming platforms including Qobuz Connect, TIDAL Connect and Spotify Connect are fully supported. The system also offers AirPlay, Google Cast and Bluetooth with aptX HD.

Streaming music from a NAS or USB storage device is equally straightforward, with support for PCM audio up to 32-bit/192 kHz. Amplification is provided by a Class D amplifier delivering up to 200 watts per channel.

Despite its compact dimensions, the R710 features a generous 6.8-inch colour display capable of showing album artwork alongside a wide range of other information.

Vinyl and tv

Vinyl enthusiasts have not been forgotten either. The R710 includes a phono input compatible with both MM and MC cartridges. Thanks to HDMI eARC connectivity, the system can also integrate seamlessly with modern televisions.

The Ruark R710 is priced at €2,699 and will be available in a choice of Fused Walnut Veneer and Satin Charcoal finishes. Availability is scheduled for later this year.
