As part of the celebrations surrounding its 40th anniversary, AVM Audio has unveiled the new Evolution Black Edition upgrade for its Evolution Series.
The Evolution Black Edition is available for the CS 5.3 (see also here), AS 5.3, PAS 5.3 and MP 5.3 models. According to Benelux distributor Mafico, the upgrade can be specified on new products or retrofitted to existing units.
Rather than replacing the current Evolution range, the Black Edition has been developed to further enhance its performance.
Technical Improvements
The Black Edition incorporates a number of technical refinements, including:
- An optimised tube module
- Carefully selected operational amplifiers
- Precision Mini-MELF resistors
- Internal silver wiring
- A redesigned output stage
- Increased power supply capacitance
In addition, the CS all-in-one system and AS streaming amplifier receive new rhodium-plated loudspeaker terminals.
According to AVM, these upgrades result in an even more natural and transparent sound, with greater detail, spaciousness, refinement and musical involvement.
Existing Models Can Be Upgraded
One particularly noteworthy aspect of the programme is that owners of existing Evolution 5.3 and even 3.3 models can return their units to the factory for an upgrade to the current 5.3 specification.
The upgrade also includes AVM’s latest tube preamplifier stage, underlining the company’s long-term commitment to sustainability and extended product support.
The AVM Evolution Black Edition is available immediately through authorised AVM dealers and is priced at €3,249.
