A major film release like The Oddysey deserves equally distinctive merchandise. In this case, one of the highlights is the new Klipsch Odyssey Limited Edition Bluetooth speaker.

The Odyssey is billed as the world’s first feature film to be shot entirely using IMAX film cameras and is scheduled for release on 17 July. Klipsch and Onkyo are serving as the film’s exclusive promotional audio partners, and the Odyssey Limited Edition speaker has been created as part of that collaboration.

The design draws inspiration from the legendary sword of Odysseus and features a distinctive battle-worn finish. Each unit is given an artificially aged appearance by hand, making it an appealing collector’s item for movie memorabilia enthusiasts while also offering a capable portable audio solution.

Based on the Music City Detroit Platform

Under the hood, the speaker is based on Klipsch’s Music City Detroit platform. It features two 1-inch tweeters, two 3-inch woofers and four passive radiators to deliver powerful portable sound. The enclosure carries an IP67 rating for water and dust resistance, meaning it can withstand immersion in up to one metre of water for as long as 30 minutes.

Thanks to Klipsch’s Broadcast Mode, users can link more than ten compatible Klipsch speakers together, making the system well suited to parties and larger gatherings. The Odyssey Limited Edition supports Bluetooth 5.3, while its built-in battery provides more than 20 hours of playback on a full charge.

Production is limited to just 2,500 units worldwide, with a retail price of $499.
