The newly established Revox World Foundation will safeguard the history of the Revox brand and manage the historic collections of both Revox and Studer.
At Revox World, visitors can explore the complete history of the Revox and Studer brands. This unique exhibition is currently accessible primarily by appointment, although arranging a visit is relatively straightforward. Since last year, it has also been possible to visit on Thursday afternoons without prior booking. However, due to ongoing renovation work, the expo will remain closed until the end of November.
The creation of the Revox World Foundation ensures that the future of this remarkable collection is now secure. The former private collection of Walter Stutz, previously known as the Studer Revox Museum, will also become part of the foundation. It comprises approximately 800 Revox and Studer products, along with extensive documentation, photographs, measuring equipment and prototypes.
The foundation’s mission is to preserve this historic equipment and make it accessible for future generations. It is a commendable initiative that will ensure these classic audio technologies remain available for enthusiasts and anyone interested in the history of high-fidelity audio.
Revox World is located at Lerzenstrasse 10 in Dietikon, Switzerland, just outside Zurich. The exhibition occupies approximately 1,000 square metres. More information can be found on the Revox World web page.
