The AIWA brand, still a familiar name to many, is returning to the European market, with the upcoming IFA 2026 marking the starting point for its comeback.
If you grew up during the 1980s or 1990s, there’s a very good chance you’ll remember the AIWA brand. It eventually disappeared from the market following fierce competition. For a while, the company was owned by Sony, but that chapter eventually came to an end as well.
Today, AIWA is owned by Japanese company Towada, which among other things manufactures equipment for Sony. And now it is gradually producing AIWA products once again.
At the upcoming IFA, taking place in Berlin from September 4 to 8, the brand will make its European comeback, complete with a new product range. The website for their European operation is already up and running.
