Tiny Vinyl has introduced a new version of its turntable for miniature records—this time with built-in Bluetooth.
We covered it before, but the market for tiny records (4-inch discs, to be precise) appears to be thriving. At least, that seems to be the conclusion, as Tiny Vinyl has now released an updated turntable designed specifically for these miniature records. In addition to its physical connections, the new model features Bluetooth. That allows you to listen through wireless headphones or Bluetooth speakers as well.
The matching mini albums are also released by the company itself. Each side of a record holds exactly one track. An official catalogue is now available featuring more than 90 releases from well-known artists, including The Rolling Stones, Rihanna, Bruno Mars, Jimi Hendrix, and many others. Much of the appeal lies in their collectability. In the US, the miniature albums retail for $14.99 each, making them relatively affordable.
The new Tiny Vinyl turntable itself also comes with a pleasantly tiny price tag of $49.99. At the time of writing, it is officially available only in the United States through retailer Target. The designers have even included a compartment for storing a small collection of the miniature records, while a larger dedicated storage cabinet is available for more serious collectors. You can start listening straight out of the box, as the turntable comes equipped with built-in speakers.
