With the new Marantz MCR 60n DAB, you can take care of virtually your entire hi-fi setup in one go. The only things you still need to provide yourself are the speakers.
All-in-one systems are popular. That is hardly surprising, of course, as they take up little space while offering all the functionality you would expect from a modern audio system. That is also the case with the brand-new Marantz MCR 60n DAB. On the output side, a maximum of 2 x 65 watts into 4Ω is available. Thanks to its four amplifier channels, bi-amping is an option. Alternatively, those four channels can be used for two-zone playback.
HEOS
The entire system is based on the familiar HEOS platform. When it comes to streaming, all the usual suspects are on the menu, including Qobuz Connect, Tidal Connect, Spotify and internet radio. AirPlay 2 and Bluetooth are also available, while the system is Roon Ready. The maximum supported resolution is 384 kHz / 32-bit for PCM and up to 11.2 MHz for DSD. Apart from all that streaming functionality, the system also includes a CD player and a DAB+/FM tuner, which is always nice to have.
As for outputs, there is a connection for a subwoofer as well as a line output. Inputs include HDMI eARC, with Dolby Digital and Dolby Digital Plus decoding, an analogue RCA line input, USB and a phono input for your turntable, should you have one. In addition to connecting wirelessly to your home network, a wired Ethernet connection is also available. And if you want to take things a step further, an upgrade for Dirac Room Correction is available.
The Marantz MCR 60n DAB is available immediately for €900, in a choice of black or Champagne Gold.
