The tvOS 17.2 update for Apple TV recently rolled out, brings several changes to the user interface.
By now, users of the Apple TV set-top box will have noticed that there is a new version of tVOS. Particularly noticeable is the new look and layout of the user interface. What is undoubtedly less known is that Apple has announced that these innovations will also be implemented in the Apple TV app on third-party platforms. And that includes supported televisions, streaming devices and gaming consoles. However, not all of the new features may be available on every platform. Not every device will support all features, for example.
What will undoubtedly be available is the updated video store where you can rent content, and in a quality up to and including 4K Dolby Vision HDR. Chances are also that the new “fat” navigation bar on the side will be included in the individual apps.
