Earlier this year, it was announced at CES: the LG OLED T transparent television. And now, it’s available for enthusiasts!
A transparent TV like the LG OLED T offers numerous intriguing possibilities. Think of artistic installations, attention-grabbing displays in commercial settings, and so on. Of course, you could also place the TV in your living room, though the price tag might be a bit steep for that purpose. However, if you’ve got the budget (and the cash), there are plenty of creative applications to consider. For example, LG claims the TV performs wonderfully even when positioned in front of a window.
There’s no need to run cables, as both video and audio are transmitted wirelessly. The T-Object mode is an “always-on” setting that transforms your TV into what LG describes as a “transparent digital canvas.”
The new LG OLED T boasts a 77-inch screen. As expected, the price is not for the faint-hearted: $60,000.
