In the United States, it’s a well-known video streaming service — but here (at least for now) much less so: Hulu. That’s about to change, as Hulu officially becomes part of Disney Plus.
Until now, a fair amount of Hulu content could already be found within Disney Plus under the “Star” section. That name has now been retired and replaced by Hulu. Under this banner, you’ll find a wide range of exclusive Hulu content, along with familiar titles that originally belonged under the Hulu brand. The result is quite a rich offering within Disney Plus, which already includes Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic.
Still, there’s a catch. While this kind of “super streamer” sounds great, what if you don’t actually care for, say, National Geographic or Star Wars? You’re still paying for them. And with Disney Plus continuing to raise prices at regular intervals, one might wonder: wouldn’t it make more sense to let users choose from the content bouquet instead of pricing tiers based on image quality? After all, more isn’t always better. Time will tell!
