LG has unveiled its Dolby Atmos Flex Connect soundbar system, with extreme flexibility as its defining feature.
Seamless integration with LG’s new Sound Suite feature enables highly flexible configurations with the brand-new LG Dolby Atmos Flex Connect system. In total, LG claims no fewer than 27 possible setups. The system is built around the new H7 Dolby Atmos soundbar, the M5 and M7 wireless surround speakers, and the equally wireless W7 subwoofer. This allows users to start with a simple configuration and expand the system easily and gradually over time.
The H7 soundbar is powered by LG’s Alpha 11 AI Gen 3 chipset—a high-performance processor that until now has been reserved exclusively for the manufacturer’s top-tier TVs. To enable placement of the speakers and soundbar in virtually any room and position, the system makes extensive use of advanced signal processing, along with a range of calibration options.
World’s first
LG’s in-house AI Sound Pro+ technology can upmix stereo audio to multi-channel surround sound. In addition, voices, music and surround effects are intelligently recognised and reproduced as clearly as possible, depending on user preference. LG states that the H7 system is the world’s first soundbar audio system to support Dolby Atmos Flex Connect. Also worth noting is that the drivers in all speakers and the soundbar itself are supplied by Danish manufacturer Peerless.
Pricing and availability of the individual components have not yet been announced at the time of writing.
