If you’ve been thinking about learning to play the guitar, you’ll soon be able to do so directly via your Samsung TV using the Fender Play app.
Learning to play the guitar is fun—but it also takes time and, if you want to do it properly, money. A good instructor is usually essential, and fitting lessons into your schedule isn’t always easy. Samsung and Fender now offer an interesting solution. With an upcoming firmware update, the Fender Play app will become available on compatible Samsung TVs.
Using the app, you can learn to play step by step in an accessible and engaging way. You can choose between electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, or ukulele. After that, you select lessons that match your skill level and follow structured, step-by-step instruction—often based around well-known songs, such as 99 Red Balloons by Nena.
There’s also a Jam Mode, which lets you choose backing tracks and play along with curated music from various genres.
The rollout of this update is expected sometime in the first half of the year, although an exact release date has not yet been announced.
