Not everyone wants a massive TV in the living room—in that case, a projector like the new Acer PD1520Us can be an excellent alternative.
The Acer PD1520Us is a Full HD short-throw projector capable of projecting images up to 100 inches in size. A major advantage is its relatively accessible price, combined with a high degree of flexibility. The projector itself is very compact, making it easy to move from room to room. It can even operate without being plugged into a power outlet, thanks to its built-in battery, which provides around two hours of playback on a full charge.
The unit uses LED projection technology with a brightness of 2000 LED lumens. According to the manufacturer, the light source has a lifespan of up to 30,000 hours—more than sufficient for most home applications.
In addition to Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, the projector features a proprietary smart platform supporting apps such as Netflix and YouTube. The Acer PD1520Us weighs just 740 grams and is priced at €650 for the standard version. A variant with touch functionality on the projector itself is available for €700, which can be useful for interactive applications such as projecting content onto a desktop surface.
