Philips TV wint Red Dot Design Award voor OLED+ 911 Ambilight TV

Philips TV has received a prestigious Red Dot Design Award for its flagship OLED+ 911 Ambilight TV—always welcome recognition for a manufacturer.

The Philips TV design team based at the company’s Amsterdam Design Office collected a total of seven Red Dot Design Awards for television, smartphone, monitor and audio product designs. These awards were presented during the Red Dot Gala: Product Design 2026 on 7 July.

Its latest winner in the TV & Home Entertainment category is Philips’ flagship OLED+ 911 Ambilight TV, the top model within the company’s premium OLED+ Ambilight range.

The new 48-inch version is available from July 2026, while 55-inch, 65-inch and 77-inch models will follow later this summer.

Key Features

According to Philips and in their own words, the OLED+ 911 Ambilight TV offers the following highlights:

  • A sleek European design featuring a minimalist black metal frame, with the black Bowers & Wilkins sound system seamlessly integrated beneath the display and complemented by elegant rounded gloss-black metal feet.
  • Philips’ 10th-generation P5 AI Processor, developed at the company’s innovation centre in Ghent, delivering AI-enhanced picture processing.
  • The latest META 4.0 Primary RGB Tandem 2.0 165 Hz WOLED panel, offering deep blacks, vibrant colours and sharper, smoother images.
  • Philips is the first OLED TV manufacturer to introduce Dolby Vision 2 Max, optimising HDR performance according to both the specific display and the viewing environment.
  • An integrated 81-watt Bowers & Wilkins 3.1-channel sound system, discreetly built into the lower section of the television.
  • The OLED+ range also features Philips’ signature four-sided Ambilight system, providing an immersive viewing experience that can be extended throughout the room by linking compatible smart lighting via the AmbiScape feature.

Further information about the OLED+ 911 Ambilight TV can be found on its product page.

Seven Awards for Amsterdam Design Office

In addition to the premium OLED+ television, six other products designed by Philips’ Amsterdam Design Office also received Red Dot Design Awards 2026, including four smartphone-related products, a monitor and a pair of true wireless earbuds.

We’ll undoubtedly be taking a closer look at those award winners in the near future.
