The new WiiM Bar is a competitively priced soundbar featuring Dolby Atmos in a 3.0.2-channel configuration with a total of eight drivers.
WiiM has built its reputation on affordable streamers and audio components, but the company is now expanding into home cinema with the introduction of the WiiM Bar, a versatile soundbar.
According to the manufacturer, three forward-firing tweeters, five mid-woofer drivers and four passive bass radiators combine to deliver a powerful and well-balanced soundstage—all without the need for an external subwoofer. Those looking for a more immersive setup can expand the system into a full 5.1.2-channel configuration using additional WiiM components, including a wireless subwoofer and surround speakers.
Room Correction and Extensive Connectivity
The WiiM Bar features the company’s RoomFit room correction technology, along with AI-assisted dialogue enhancement and a dynamic night mode designed to reduce volume peaks during late-night viewing.
Physical connectivity includes HDMI eARC, while support is provided for Dolby Atmos, Dolby TrueHD, Dolby Digital Plus, LPCM, AC3, DTS and DTS:X. Additional inputs include digital and analogue RCA connections, as well as USB-C.
The soundbar also incorporates the WiiM Home platform, providing access to a wide range of streaming services and protocols, including Qobuz, TIDAL, Spotify, Roon, Google Cast, AirPlay 2 and UPnP.
Availability and Pricing
A circular touch display on the soundbar provides information such as album artwork during music playback.
According to WiiM, the Bar is expected to become available in August, although pre-orders are already open. The recommended retail price is €499.
