More than 60 years ago, The Beatles released their album Rubber Soul. It proved to be a milestone for the band, so a new reissue is certainly welcome.
British band The Beatles are celebrating Rubber Soul, originally released in December 1965, with a new series of vinyl and CD editions. The vinyl releases are all pressed on 180-gram records, with a choice of a 1-LP Standard Edition ($29.99), a 2-LP Special Edition ($39.98), and a 5-LP Super Deluxe Edition ($235.98).
Then there are the CD editions, following a similar format: a single CD ($18.98), a 2-CD set ($24.98), and a 4-CD edition ($149.98)—apparently one disc fewer was needed than for the vinyl box set. There is also a Blu-ray edition featuring the new Dolby Atmos mix, hi-res stereo audio, and two promotional films for Day Tripper and We Can Work It Out. The Blu-ray is priced at $35.98.
