You own a set of high-quality in-ears equipped with a cable and you want to use them wirelessly too? You can with the iFi GO pod!
The iFi GO pod is a set of ‘earhooks’ without the in-ears. In fact, you have to provide the latter yourself. If you have a wired in-ear availabe, of which cables are removable (by means of a plug, that is…) then you are good to go. Pull the plugs out of the in-ears and stick the buds on the GO pod. From then on, your in-ears are wireless. But with lots of great features. For example, under the hood of the pods works the 32-bit quadcore Qualcomm QCC5144 module. It has enough processor power to handle the more advanced codecs aptX HD, aptX Adaptive, LDAC and LHDC.
7 hours of playing time
Each ‘pod’ features a Cirrus Logic MasterHIFI 32-bit hi-res DAC chip including a precise clock that should counteract jitter. You can select four impedances (16, 32, 64 or 300 ohms); or better: the iFi Go pod detects this impedance itself and chooses the right one. The pods provide 7 hours of playing time when fully charged. A carrying case contains its own rechargeable battery, allowing you to continue listening for long periods of time socket-free on the go. Finally, iFi also has ready-made sets consisting of the Go pod and an in-ear for enthusiasts. On its own, the Go pod costs $399.
