Jabra presents new in-ears

Jabra releases two new in-ears: the rugged Elite 8 Active and the Elite 10, optimized for Dolby Atmos and Dolby Head Tracking.

According to Jabra, the new Elite 8 Active have been tested as the world’s most rugged in-ears. As such, they meet MIL-STD-810H specs and have an IP68 rating. They also feature ANC, Jabra ShakeGrip, HearThrough technology and Dolby Audio support. The aforementioned military standard means the earbuds can withstand very high humidity, high temperatures and substantial altitude, among other things. The in-ears also do well under water, provided you don’t dive deeper than 1.5 meters. Finally, they have passed an extensive corrosion test. Naturally, the sound quality has also been taken care of, as for example Dolby Audio is supported.

Here are the specs for the Elite 8:

Jabra Elite 10

Also new is the Jabra Elite 10 (pictured at the top of this article), which is aimed more at “audio enthusiasts” and less at anyone who goes on a daily survival trip. According to the manufacturer, it is one of their most advanced in-ears with plenty of extras on board. First, Dolby Atmos has been implemented, along with Dolby Head Tracking. The latter ensures that the soundstage moves with the movement of your head. Jabra Advanced ANC should suppress twice as much ambient noise as the standard version of ANC. Six built-in microphones guarantee crystal-clear phone calls, according to the manufacturer. Pleasant is the ComfortFit technology that – according to Jabra – should ensure ‘the most comfortable, flexible and natural fit.’

Here are the specifications of the Elite 10:

  • Optimized for Dolby Atmos with Dolby Head Tracking, for an immersive Dolby Atmos experience;
  • Jabra ComfortFit technology for the most comfortable, flexible and natural fit. The semi-open design relieves pressure on the ear and the soft silicone material ensures the earbuds are comfortable all day long;
